A rare breed of woman.

How many tattoos do you have?

Any you'd like to share specifics on?

My tattoos are art. They mean something to me. It is my way of expressing myself and although they do not define who I am as a person, they offer an view into me and my past; the events, people and experiences that have shaped me into the woman I am today.

What's your favorite tattoo?

I have a red heart on the inside of my right elbow with a piece missing in the shape of a puzzle piece. My son has a little red puzzle piece tattooed on the inside of his right elbow. He has a piece of my heart with him always.

What was your first tattoo, and is there a story behind it?

I have flowers and vines with my son's name across my lower back. The significance for me is growth. I got clean and sober not to long before I got this tattoo and it symbolizes new growth and commitment to helping my son grow into a man. That was over 16 years ago and I haven't used since.

Any idea what you'll get next?

A pair of stars with flames inside of them on the inside of each of my forearms. This shows that fiery path of destruction that I chose to get out of; my using days and how I will never choose that hell again.
